Antique French 19th Century carriage candle lantern.


This antique and genuine French candle lantern is made of riveted steel. Complete with intact glasses, it is equipped with a lateral support that allowed to hang it on the left rear side of the vehicle. Great potential decoration on a porch, in an entrance, a corridor or a showcase. Absolutely intact, never electrified or modified.


This more than centenary French candle lantern is a genuine rear left carriage lantern. Made of riveted steel, it date from the years 1850/1900. It is equipped with a lateral support that condemns one side of the box. Two others sides including the door hold transparent glasses and the last one on the rear is equipped with a red glass window. In very good condition despite his âge. The system pushing the candle still works. Dimensions 40 cm high (15"3/4), candle box of 12 x 12 x 13 cm (4"3/4 x 4"3/4 X 5 inches) . Great potential décoration on a porch, an entrance or corridor or in a show case. Intact and never electrified or modified. Found in France in an attic sale of Sailly-Flibeaucourt (Somme).
