Superb Samovar of oriental inspiration, made in France, in brass and copper during the period 1920/1950.The design of this samovar is simple and elegant and all the components are in perfect harmony. As both of the samovars the support holds the tea-pot, a stove heats the water and keeps the tea warm. When the water starts boiling, the steam whistle warns the guests. Samovars from Orient or Russia arrived in France with the "White Russians" loyal to the Tsar during the 1917 Revolution. Their design was overloaded. They were difficult to use and maintain, very expensive, and reserved for rich people. Robert SPORRY witch has simplified and democratized the Samovar, made it accessible to all. Some others companies manufactured also the Samovars in series for the French market during the period 1920/1950, the demand was huge. The tea became a great consumer product in France. Very beautiful object for the decoration of a kitchen whatever the style. Dimensions in inches: H: 11 1/2 x W: 6,5 (29 cm x 17 cm). Capacity of the teapot: 1 liter approximately.
