WW1 French pair of Infantry Officer binoculars
This rare equipment magnifying by 7, was reserved for Officers only and usable at Day and Night times. It was already manufactured by HUET/PARIS and when the war started in 1914.
A double external measuring scale easy to use permitted the valuation of the distance of foot soldiers up to 1300 m or horsemen up to 1800m The case made of real leather and the binoculars are still equipped with their original adjustable straps. In spite of his great age (more than 100 years) this equipment is still in good condition. The case cover holds the name, manually written by the first owner: H. COTHAT
A very rare piece of collection in particular due to the distance evaluation tools abandoned by the facturers in 1915 and not useful in the trenches.
